Now that I’ve entered a new decade, it just feels “right” to look back and appreciate some of my favorite items acquired in my 20s. They’re things that have served me well over the last several years and that I know will stand the test of time! You can watch the video above to hear my thoughts on each of these well loved pieces or check them out for yourself through the links below. Enjoy!

Travel

  • AWAY Carry On - Great for 1-2 night trips. I tend to lean on rolling suitcases for flights and duffles for road trips, but obviously this would work well for either.

  • AWAY Bigger Carry On - Great for 3-15 days depending on the season. It’s a powerhouse and my most used piece by far.

  • AWAY Medium Suitcase - Perfect for long vacations where you fly directly to your destination (since it has to be checked) and where you plan to stay in one place for the duration of your trip. The capacity is insane, which is great, but I wouldn’t want to haul this all over creation.

Kitchen

  • My #1: Wustof Santoku

  • My #2: Wustof Chef’s Knife + Paring Knife

*Note: I recommend the ‘Classic’ line of Wustof knives over the ‘Gourmet’ line. The names are deceiving, because the ‘Classic’ line actually contains their higher end, weightier knives.

  • Caraway Cookware Set - If you’re looking to refresh your whole set of pots and pans, I can’t recommend this nonstick set enough. It’s pricey, but I’ve used at least one piece daily since we got them last Christmas, and they’re still in fantastic shape. The set contains:

    • Caraway Saute Pan - If you only want one Caraway piece, this is what I’d recommend. The large size with tall sides makes this the most versatile piece in our kitchen.

    • Caraway Fry Pan - Perfect for morning eggs or browning approximately 1 pound of meat.

    • Caraway Sauce Pan - Our go-to pot for simmering sauces and making grains.

    • Caraway Dutch Oven - The 6.5 qt size is <chef’s kiss>. Great for medium-sized soup batches and everyday pasta boiling.

Home

  • Peloton - This was a lifesaver during the height of the pandemic, but I still love and use it weekly. You can try the app here or get $100 off a bike here.

  • Brooklinen Percale Sheet Set - Great for hot sleepers who like the hotel sheet feel.

  • Brooklinen Linen Sheet Set (our ultimate favorite) - Also great for hot sleepers but has a more “lived in” comfortable feel. These have taken the top spot for us!

  • King sized coverlet - Adds the perfect amount of warmth, weight, and texture to your bed year round. This has been the most purchased item from everything I’ve mentioned in the last year!

  • Laura Davidson Desk Chair - A beautiful, functional chair for my office space that’s in a common area of the home. I’ve had it for over 2 years now, and the seat has maintained its cushion and comfortability.

  • Fully Standing Desk - Great for the home office when you get tired of sitting for hours at a time. I have the Maple Laminate version with white legs, 60 inches wide.
