5 Day Beach Trip Packing List

Trip Details

I have a group of friends from college that has remained super close, despite the fact that we all live in different states. Each year we make a concerted effort to take a trip together, and this year we returned to the beaches along Highway 30A. Here are the deets:

Luggage & Travel Accessories

1. AWAY Bigger Carry-On - My trusty sidekick on trips as short as 3 and as long as 15 days

Day 1 - Travel Day & Pool Day

Post trip update: We ended up not having enough time to hit the pool on Day 1, but I did pack a suit and coverup just in case. Instead, we did some grocery shopping and had Mexican cuisine on night one - queso and salsa, chicken fajitas with onions, peppers, cilantro, sour cream, and warm tortillas. This is hands down the best at home queso recipe, if you’re interested!

1. Black high neck tank - $8, flattering, and comfortable (shown in red above - S)

2. Flowy pants - I refuse to wear shorts on airplanes, & these comfy and look put together (XS Short)

3. Sandals - Still going strong after 3 years of constant wear (7)

4. Denim jacket - Comes “broken in” and so comfy (S)

5. Sun hat - Adjustable and affordable. It can get totally wet and bounce back no problem! (one size)

6. Swimsuit - Comfy one piece (4)

7. Coverup - Lightweight and comfy, can wear it buttoned and unbuttoned (one size)

8. Sunnies - Sturdy enough to hold up to your backpack during travel and beach bag (51 mm)

Day 2 - Beach Day & Night Out

Post trip update: AJ’s Grayton Beach location has karaoke night on Thursdays, just sayin!

1. Daisy High Waisted Swimsuit - No longer available, but a great suit from Target (M top, S bottom)

2. Sunnies - Sturdy enough to hold up to your backpack during travel and beach bag (51 mm)

3. Coverup - Lightweight and comfy, can wear it buttoned and unbuttoned (one size)

4. Sandals - I’ve worn these waterproof sandals everyday this summer (7/8, Stone)

5. Maxi dress - A great maxi that can be dressed up or down so easily (XS Short)

6. Detailed hoops - A unique spin on a staple, gold hoop

7. Clog sandals - Super comfortable! My pair doesn’t have the back strap, but it doesn’t look like they seem them anymore (7)

Day 3 - Beach Day & Wine Tasting

Post trip update: It ended up raining most of Day 3, so we hit the pool for about an hour but spent most of our time in pajamas watching Love Island UK Season 7. Pajamas not pictured, but included below!

1. Coverup - An easy, throw on coverup that looks like a shirt dress (S)

2. Sandals - Another day at the beach, another day in my favorite sandals (7/8, Stone)

3. Rifle Paper Co Top - This was a collab with Summersalt. The style is still available, but the print is not. It’s such a flattering suit! (4)

4. Rifle Paper Co Bottom - The bottoms are the perfect level of high waisted (4)

5. Casual maxi - Long enough to sit comfortably on the beach and enjoy wine (XS)

6. Sandals - Same sandals from the travel day (7)

7. Pajama Set - the softest set I own - just took advantage of their summer sale to scoop up some more, too!

Day 4 - Beach Day & Dinner at home

Post trip update: Our last day started out a bit stormy and by 10:00am, it was blue skies and sunny! We spent all day in the water and ended with a super casual private hibachi dinner at the house.

1. Coverup - An easy, throw on coverup that looks like a shirt dress (S)

2. Sandals - Another day at the beach, another day in my favorite sandals (7/8, Stone)

3. Swimsuit - An oldie but goodie Aerie suit - wish I would have gotten the black, too, back in the day!

4. Quarter zip - I sized up in this ultra cozy sweatshirt (M)

5. White tee - This cropped white tee is the perfect length (S)

6. Pull on shorts - I’ve worn these on repeat this summer - so comfy! (XS)

Day 5 - Travel Day

1. Cropped Wide-Leg Pants - Pants so good I have them in two colors - navy and green (25P)

2. Sports bra top - Non see-through white top with built in bra. Follow the size chart! I’m 34A and got size M. I’m usually an XS in tops, for reference - this sizing was just strange.

3. Sandals - Same ones from the last travel day - they match everything! (7)

4. Kindle Paperwhite - I use this thing everyday. Absolutely can’t travel without it & the sleeve.

5. Backpack - This is such a versatile backpack from a small family biz.
