Gift Guide for the Host

If you’re attending a holiday party this season, don’t show up empty handed! This list includes a variety of gifts in a range of price points, so you’re sure to find something for every host on your list. Watch the video above or peruse the list of featured items below!

Corkpops Wine Opener - The quickest, easiest wine opener on the market! Seriously! You just insert the needle of the wine opener into the cork, press down on the CO2 cartridge and…pop! The cork is released. Keep a good grip on the wine bottle and say goodbye to broken corks.

Corkpops Refill Cartridges - The wine opener comes with a cartridge that’s supposed to have enough C02 to open 60-80 bottles of wine. We’ve had ours for 5+ years and still haven’t replaced a cartridge, but giving your recipient some backups would basically guarantee they’ll be set for life.

Mini Measuring Cups - I know this seems really utilitarian, but it’s super practical. The cups are perfect for measuring cocktail ingredients and any tablespoon measurement needed for your cooking and baking needs. It has tablespoon, oz, and cup markings, and they have a stainless steel option, if you’re feeling fancy!

Festive Cocktail Napkins - The perfect small gift on it’s own, but you could also gift these as part of a “cocktail set” alongside the shaker and citrus juicer.

Brumate Shaker - This particular shaker is dishwasher safe, insulated, and easy to seal and uncap, unlike most steel shakers. It also comes with a tumbler top, so it doubles as an insulated cup. You can whip up a cocktail and drink it straight from shaker!

Citrus Juicer - We own two of these and use both every week. It makes juicing so much easier and way more efficient than attempting to squeeze lemons or limes by hand. Everyone needs one (or more) of these in their kitchen.

OXO Magnetic Measuring Spoons - We love these dishwasher safe magnetic measuring spoons. You don’t have to fuss with the annoying ring that makes you disconnect and reconnect spoons for each use, and it keeps your drawers clutter free.

Recipe Cards - This could be a great companion gift with the measuring spoons! Jot down one of your favorite recipes on one of the cards for a personalized touch.

Specialty Glasses - How fun are these? I feel like everyone needs some funky stem wear in their cabinets. Sets or individual pieces are usually pretty affordable at places like Crate & Barrel and Anthropologie.

Hatch Rocks Glasses - We have this set of rocks glasses and we’re constantly impressed by the super thick, high quality glass. We’ve washed them in the dishwasher countless times, and they’re still crystal clear - no cloudiness or cracks! Great for someone with more classic taste.

Wine Stopper and Aerator - This handy little tool keeps your wine fresh and aerates it as you pour each glass. This would be cute tied to the neck of your favorite wine bottle and gifted alongside the tote.

Scout Wine Tote - These are great for potluck dinners or blind wine tastings. The thin material is sturdy, and the strap makes it easy to carry to and from friends’ houses. It comes in a variety of colors and patterns, too!

The Defined Dish Cookbook - When the video linked above was originally filmed, Alex Snodgrass only had one cookbook. Since then she’s released another, and I’d argue her second is better than her first. It showcases a bit more of her range with cocktail, vegetarian, and dessert chapters.

Cook This Book Cookbook - I love the style of this cookbook, and the recipes and innovative design really set it apart from others on the market. A variety of recipes feature QR codes that, once scanned, take you to a video of Molly demonstrating how to perform a certain cooking technique. Super cool!

Volcano Hand Soap/Lotion Duo - The universally well loved Volcano scent comes in more than just candle form. This hand soap and lotion duo is beautiful and sure to be a hit with a hardworking host or hostess.

Gift each of these individually or as a set! Mrs. Meyers always releases great holiday scents in a variety of products that you can mix and match to create a festive gift to bring along to your next holiday party.

Voluspa Candle Trio Set - I’m less nervous to gift mini candles than full sized ones, because I’m not putting all my eggs into one scent basket. This whole set would be fun to receive, but you could break them up to be used as stocking stuffers or paired with other items on the list if you’re thanking multiple hosts!

Hair Towel Wrap - Hosting is so much fun, but it’s also incredibly draining. Consider gifting a spa related gift like this hair towel wrap for them to use while they unwind after the holiday fun.

Mini Shampoo - Select a mini shampoo/conditioner from a fancy brand that your friend wouldn’t typically buy for themselves or combine them with a matching mini dry shampoo and detangler to form a larger set.

Holiday Tea Towel - I love a seasonal tea towel, because it’s functional decor. Wrap it up with fun ribbon and add a personalized note for a simple, sweet gift.

Copper Whisk - Copper reads fancy to me, so it feels very “giftable.” Picture this whisk tied up with a seasonal tea towel or the recipe cards — cute!

Silicone Spatula - We use these handy little tools for everything — scraping the last bit of hummus from our food processor, icing a cake, making simple syrup. They’re perfect for non-stick cookware lovers.
